A progressive, Satyaraj is proud of his grandfather, who was killed in the freedom struggle. He pretends to know unknown things. Sathyaraj encourages his son Sivakarthikeyan to love across caste and religion.
Sivakarthikeyan works as a teacher in a school. Actress Maria arrives unexpectedly in his school as a teacher. Maria and Sivakarthikeyan fall in love at one point, becoming the woman of her father’s ambitions.
But Maria’s father does not like this love and he opposes their love. Did Sivakarthikeyan convince Maria’s father? Did these two get together? Isn’t it? That is the rest of the story of the film.
